Show Garden at Tatton RHS Flower Show
Food for thought

Our garden shows how the smallest area can be used not only to achieve a place in which to relax, but also where vegetables and herbs can be grown in an exciting and ornamental way, providing a tantalising source of food.

Colours have been carefully selected to make the space feel warm and inviting and literally mouth watering. Terracotta paving, copper trellis and pergola structures are a foil to the vivid, bold colours of red, blue, orange and yellow colours of the vegetables and herbs.

The BBC's Diarmuid Gavin commenting on the Space2Place exhibit said  "I think that it's great that I have been able to find my favourite feature at the show in one of the smallest gardens"

Kevin Smith of Garden Answers magazine wrote,"The small Food for Thought garden, designed bySpace2Place, immediately grabbed my attention.

The breathtaking walls prove that red looks just as good - if not better - outdoors as it does on TV's makeover shows. I loved the water feature, made from a reclaimed windowsill, and the pumpkin trailing round it shows how  attractively vegetables can be used in a small space. I think we should all take a deep breath and be a lot braver in what we do at home"
