Garden Retreat for a Professional Couple
Winner of ‘’The Garden Design Award 2008’’, voted the best garden exhibit at the show by the general public
This is a calm intimate garden in which a professional couple can escape from the fast pace of their busy lives, relax and enjoy.
The strong central granite path leads to a rectangular raised terrace, which is broken up with bands of random stone which contrast to the crisp granite paving and smooth rendered walls. The soothing sound of water is heard gently trickling down the rough stone on the back wall, punctuated by bright blue planting.
The journey down the path to the terrace has bold blocks of planting with strips of rough stone paving running through, continuing up the walls. Two brightly coloured chairs await on the terrace.
