This garden in Cheshire complements a large Victorian detached house.

Brief
Create a family focussed garden with direct access from the main living area, as well as enhancing the main access to the property and rationalise the parking provision.

Solution
Dysfunctional spaces and awkward changes in level are overcome to provide a large lawn for play and ball games and a raised seating area with views back towards the house.  The design allows for the adaptable use of various elements such as the bike track around the lawn and pergola swing support, the character of which can change as the children get older. Liaison with the Local Planning Department allowed the drive and parking area to be formalised to reflect the grand style of the house.
